DMS Servers and Repositories
Document Management Systems (DMS) are configured for Ennov InSight as a combination of a server and repository. These can be set up and maintained by Ennov InSight system administrators.
Ennov InSight can be connected to one or more types of DMS repositories, including: Documentum, Secure File System, and Veeva Vault.
By default, the Ennov InSight installation automatically adds a server for a Documentum system, a Secure File System, or a Veeva Vault. Other types of DMS servers must be added manually.
You can add multiple DMS repositories to each of these servers. However, Ennov InSight does not support hidden repositories or file shares.
The names used to connect to DMS servers and repositories, except Secure File systems and Veeva systems, are casesensitive. When connecting to a DMS server, the name must be exact. It is recommended to avoid special characters.
To add a DMS to Ennov InSight you must first install and configure a DMS server. One or more DMS servers must be configured for Ennov InSight before DMS repositories can be added. After the server is established, you can then add and configure the repository for the server. Graphical user interfaces for adding and modifying DMS servers and DMS repositories are located in the Technical Administration area of the Ennov InSight Administration control panel.
The DMS can be configured to be accessible by specified users, groups, or roles. A DMS tree will display only the repositories that the assigned user, group, or role has been granted permission to access.
Use the procedures from the Add a Documentum, Secure File System, or Veeva Vault Server to Ennov InSight section. to add Document Management System (DMS) or Secure File System repositories to Ennov InSight .
