Modify a Substance

You can modify a previously created Substance to change the existing data.

You should have at least WRITE privileges for Product Detail Management (PDM), Registration Planning and Tracking (RPT) licenses, and Product Entity Security to modify the substance attributes.

To modify the substance attributes:

1. Click a link for the substance you want to modify.
2. On the Substance Attributes page, click Modify.
3. Make necessary changes to the substance attributes.
4. Save.

Associate a Reference Substance

Associate a reference substance to a substance that is associated to an entity.

To associate a reference substance:

1. On the Substances tab, click a link for the substance to which you want to associate a reference substance.
2. Click the Reference Substances tab.
3. Click Create.
4. Enter values for the reference substance attributes.
5. Save.
