Prerequisites

You must have the appropriate security privileges to create a PhPID. If you have the rights to add a product, you can add a PhPID.

To create a PhPID:

  1. Navigate to the pharmaceutical product for which you want to create a PhPID.
  2. On the Pharmaceutical Product Attributes page, click the PhPIDs tab.
  3. Click Create.

    The Create PhPID page appears.

  4. Enter the PhPID attribute value.
  5. Save.

PhPID Attributes

The following are the Pharmaceutical Product Identifier (PhPID) attributes.

Attribute Description
Family Code The company-specific code for the product family.
Family Name The standard name recognized internally and across countries.
Family Type The type of products associated with this product family (For example, pharmaceutical, veterinary).

Pharmaceutical Product

Name

 The standard pharmaceutical product name recognized internally and across countries. The value for the product name is unique.
PhPID Pharmaceutical Product Identifier. Used for unique identification of regulated pharmaceutical product information.
Product Name The standard product name recognized internally and across countries. In some sections of the application, the product name is shown with the product code to identify a product. For example, Origine 390 could identify a product that has the name Origine and the code 390.
Version Indicates the version of the PhPID.
Version Date Indicates the date the PhPID is versioned.

Modify a PhPID

You can modify a previously created Pharmaceutical Product Identifier (PhPID) to change the existing data.
