Use the Update Event-Country Status Wizard

You can use the Update Event Country Status wizard to update the event country status individually by country or to update several countries at the same time.

When you use the wizard, you can select event countries associated with an event that you have permissions to change, set the new status, and the status date.
Note: You can change the event country status for unlocked countries associated with an open or closed event. At least one country associated with the event must be unlocked to run the wizard.
To use the Update Event-Country Status wizard:
  1. Navigate to the event you want to update.
The Event Attributes page appears with the Countries tab active.
  2. Click Update Event-Country Status to open the Update Event Country Status wizard.
  3. Select one or more countries on the Select Event Countries page.
  4. Click Next.
The Enter Event Country Status Values page appears.
  5. Do the following:
    1. Select the event-country status.
Note: You can update an event-country status for a planned event that enforces status progression. For such an event, the only statuses available for selection are optional statuses and the next primary status in the sequence of primary statuses defined in the timeline/event plan.
    2. Select a status date.
Note: As the preceding item notes, planned events that enforce status progression can restrict the event-country status. Such an event also restricts the status date selection. You can select the date for the preceding primary status and later dates.
    3. If you want to lock the event-country schedule for the selected countries after the event-country status is updated, select Yes for Lock the Event-Country Schedule?.
    4. If you want to close the event after the event-country status is updated, select Yes for Close Event?. If the event is closed, the status of related entities (application, event, sequence, and PDS) are updated.
Note: If you set Associations Closed As to WITHDRAWN, the Application Status will be set to Withdrawn only when all Registrations associated to this Application have a status mapped to internal WITHDRAWN status. Otherwise, the following warning message appears: ! Associated Registration(s) must be Withdrawn prior to the Application.

If the Event is closed as Approved, meaning it has the Association Closed As field set to APPROVED, the Application Country > Withdrawn Date field is automatically updated to be equal to Event Closed Date value. This rule is applicable to an event that has an associated PDS with this country assigned to a Country PDS Detail, and this country has a Withdrawn status, meaning it is displayed as Country (Pending Withdrawal) in the PDS tree. See If the Event Is Closed with the Status Approved.

    5. Optionally, add a comment that will appear on the event and sequence entities affected by this update.
  6. Click Next.
A confirmation page lists the changes that will occur if you proceed.
  7. Choose the applicable procedure in the table below to enter an electronic signature in wizards:

Additional changes occur for other entities.
