Associating Component Characteristics with a PDS

You can describe a component in the characteristic PDS detail. You can track features of a component, such as color and shape, in the characteristic PDS detail.

To associate component characteristics with a PDS:
  1. In the PDS tree on the Product Detail Set page, expand the tree node for a component, and then right-click the Characteristics node and choose Add Characteristics.
    The Add Characteristics page opens in the right pane.
  2. Enter values for the component characteristic PDS attributes.
  3. Click Save.
