Creating a Role and Adding the Role to Lifecycle States in Veeva Vault

Perform this procedure for each lifecycle-state combination that a user needs to access from Liquent InSight Rendering.

To create a role in the Veeva vault:
  1. If the rightmost item on the bar is Admin, click Admin.
  2. On the bar, click Configuration.
  3. On menu on the left, under LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT, click Lifecycles & Workflows
  4. On the Lifecycles page, click General Lifecycle.
  5. At the top of the General Lifecycle page, click Roles.
  6. In the top-right area of the General Lifecyle page, Click Create.
  7. On the Create Lifecycle Role page, enter the information for the Liquent InSight Service Role. For Add Default Users When, select Starting a workflow and Creating a document.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Click on Liquent InSight Service Role
  10. On the Liquent InSight Service Role page, click Default Rule.
  11. Click Edit.
  12. In the empty box, click the arrow on the right, and click the user InSight Service.
  13. Select Default User.
  14. Click Save.
  15. Add the Liquent InSight Service Role role to the Approved state and to each other state for which you want to create LIQUENT renditions. For each state:
    1. At the top of the General Lifecycle page, click States.
    2. Click the state, such as the Approved state.
    3. At the top of the next page, click Security Settings > Edit.
    4. On the Liquent InSight Service Role row, select View Document, Edit Fields, Download Source, Edit Document, and Manage Viewable Rendition.
    5. Click Save.
