Creating a Role and Adding the Role to Lifecycle States in Veeva Vault
Perform this procedure for each lifecycle-state combination that a user needs to access from Liquent InSight Rendering.
To create a role in the Veeva vault:
- If the rightmost item on the bar is Admin, click Admin.
- On the bar, click Configuration.
- On menu on the left, under LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT, click Lifecycles & Workflows.
- On the Lifecycles page, click General Lifecycle.
- At the top of the General Lifecycle page, click Roles.
- In the top-right area of the General Lifecyle page, Click Create.
- On the Create Lifecycle Role page, enter the information for the Liquent InSight Service Role. For Add Default Users When, select Starting a workflow and Creating a document.
- Click Save.
- Click on Liquent InSight Service Role.
- On the Liquent InSight Service Role page, click Default Rule.
- Click Edit.
- In the empty box, click the arrow on the right, and click the user InSight Service.
- Select Default User.
- Click Save.

Add the
Liquent InSight Service Role role to the Approved state and to each other state for which you want to create LIQUENT renditions. For each state:
- At the top of the General Lifecycle page, click States.
- Click the state, such as the Approved state.
- At the top of the next page, click .
- On the Liquent InSight Service Role row, select View Document, Edit Fields, Download Source, Edit Document, and Manage Viewable Rendition.
- Click Save.
