Use Linking add-in (Word)
Find a word or phrase in your document and link it to another location in the same document or a location in a different document.
You can perform a simple search or use various advanced features.
If you are using Documentum as your Document Management System, the Linking add-in (Word) user must have Modify access to Documentum folders on the local host where Linking add-in (Word) is installed.
Advanced features include:
| Feature | Description |

| Find Options | Use the find options to search for words that match the letter case, to find only whole words, to use wildcards, to find all forms of a word, and to exclude or include specific styles. |
| Viewing PDF Bookmarks | If the target document is a PDF file or has a PDF rendition, view and link to the bookmarks in the document. |
| Comments | Links with comments to notify the publisher of the intended link targets when the target documents are created or included in the publication. |
| Setting Search Folders | Linking add-in (Word) searches the files in these folders for a similar file name or matching search text. You can also search subfolders within the selected folders. |
| Using Command Files | Command files are saved link definitions that can be run against different documents. |
Warning: Do not edit Linking add-in (Word) hyperlinks outside of
Linking add-in (Word). If you edit Linking add-in (Word) hyperlinks outside of
Linking add-in (Word), the links may not work correctly. Modify
Linking add-in (Word) hyperlinks using
Linking add-in (Word) only.
