Document Find and Replace

Use the following procedure to perform batch find and replace on the current document or a set of documents.

To perform a batch find and replace:
  1. In the SmartDesk ribbon, in the Document group select Find and Replace; or, in the SmartDesk window, select Batch Find and Replace from the Document tab.
  2. If you are running find and replace on a batch of documents, click on the Browse button and select the directory you want to process. If you are running find and replace on just the current document, you can skip this step.
    Note: For batch processing only: the files in the selected directory will be processed, no files in subdirectories will be processed.
  3. Select Enable for each Find and Replace condition and enter the Find and Replace text.
    Note: To perform a find and replace on the document's properties, click the View Doc Properties button and select Enable for each property.
  4. Select Batch Update for batch proccessing, or select Find and Replace to process only the current document.
