Splitting a Table With Window
To split a table within a document using the SmartDesk window:
- Place the cursor within the first column of the row of the table where you would like the new table to start.
- On the Tables tab in Liquent SmartDesk for Authoring, select the Split Table option (check box). The Table tab will change to display the Split Table information and options.

The title of the selected table is captured automatically and appears with the suffix: (Continued).
- If the cursor is not inside a table when the Split Table check box is selected, the system displays an informative message where the title should appear: “Note: No Table title captured”
- To manually capture the table title, place the cursor within the first column of the row of the table where you would like the new table to start and click the Capture Table Title button.

On the
Tables tab in
Liquent SmartDesk for Authoring, you can select
Options to apply to the new table. The
Options include:
- Include Original Table’s Heading Row – Includes the heading row from the original table as the heading row of the new table.
- Include Original Table’s Title – Includes the title from the original table as the title for the new table.
- On the Tables tab in Liquent SmartDesk for Authoring, click Split Table.
