Apply Template Styles to Current Document

The Apply Template Styles to Current Document option applies the  Parexel template styles to any current Word document and enables you to use the  Liquent SmartDesk for Authoring macros in other Word documents that are not based on the  Parexel content template.

Apply Template Styles to Current Document will only add styles and will not delete any styles that are currently in use within the document. However, attempting to use  Liquent SmartDesk for Authoring without first applying the  Parexel content template to a document will result in an error message.

In Liquent SmartDesk for Authoring, the Apply Template Styles to Current Document and Apply Template Header/Footer to Current Document options are available in both the SmartDesk ribbon (buttons are titled Apply Styles and Add Header and Footer in the ribbon) and on the Administration tab of the SmartDesk window.

In both the SmartDesk window and ribbon, the Apply Template Styles macro will automatically fix iterations of the following styles before applying the template styles to the document. For example, Heading 2,Char Char would be reset to Heading 2.
  • Heading 1-9
  • Normal
  • Caption & Table Title Continued
  • List Bulleted & List Numbered
  • Title & TOC Title
