Link Reference Stamper Options

Option Description
Load Active Document Select the Load Active Document icon  to load the active document. This option lets you immediately load the document that is being worked on. The file is added to the PDF File to Process section.
Add File(s) Click the Add File(s) icon to select the source file. Select file(s) from the Select File window that opens and click Open. The selected source file(s) are added to the Link Reference Stamper information frame.
Add Folder(s) Click the Add Folder icon to select all files from the folder. Select a folder from the Browse for Folder window that opens and click OK. All files from the selected folder are added to the Link Reference Stamper information frame. To add the sub-folders, select the option Include Sub Folders.
Remove Selected File(s) Select the desired source file row(s) and click the Remove icon to remove the file. This will remove all the selected files corresponding to the row.
Remove Folder To remove a desired folder from the table, select a row and click the Remove Folder icon.
Stamp

Select the Stamp icon to start stamping for the selected file/ folder. If there are multiple files to stamp, a window appears with the following options:

  • All Files - To stamp a link reference for all the files.
  • Selected Files - To stamp a link reference only for selected files.
Remove Link Reference

Select the Remove Link Reference icon to remove the link reference for the selected file/ folder. If there are multiple files to remove the link reference, a window appears with the following options:

  • All Files - Removes the link reference text for all the files.
  • Selected File - Removes the link reference text for selected files.
View Log File Click the View Log File icon to view the log file.
Settings

Internal prefix - Enter the text to appear for the internal links in the selected files. This field is editable and you can enter 8 characters. The default internal prefix is See Page. For example, See Page 10.

External prefix - Enter the text to appear for the external links in the selected files. This field is editable and you can enter 8 characters. The default external prefix is See. For example, See SmartDesk Manual.pdf.

Font - Select the desired font for the Link Reference Stamper. Options are Courier, Courier-Bold, Courier-BoldOblique, Courier-Oblique, Helvetica, Helvetica-Bold, Helvetica-BoldOblique Helvetica-Oblique,Symbol, TimesNewRoman-Bold, TimesNewRoman-BoldItalic, TimesNewRoman-Italic, TimesNewRoman-Roman.

  • Note: For some Adobe versions, the Link Reference Stamper font results will be as follows: CourierStd, CourierStd-Bold, CourierStd-BoldOblique, CourierStd-Oblique, Arial, Arial-Bold, Arial-BoldItalic, Arial-Italic, Symbol, TimesNewRoman-Bold, TimesNewRoman-BoldItalic, TimesNewRoman-Italic, TimesNewRoman.

Size - Select the desired font size for the Link Reference Stamper.

Color - Click the color palette box to select a font color. The color palette window should appear. As the mouse is moved onto each color option, the name of each color should be displayed. The color options are Black (the default color), Maroon, Green, Olive, Navy, Purple, Teal, Silver, Grey, Red, Lime, Yellow, Blue, Fuchsia, Aqua and White. Click on the desired color or select Custom to choose an additional color from the custom Color window.

External Link Settings - To display the information on external links, select any one option in the list for the external links in the selected files.

  • Filename with extension - This option will display the destination file name of the external link with the extension. For example, See SmartDesk User Manual.pdf
  • Filename without extension - This option will display the file name of the external link without the extension. For example, See SmartDesk User Manual.
  • Immediate CTD section Number - This option will display the CTD section number file name of the external link. To stamp the node extension such as the CTD section number of the file present under the study folder, select the option Node Extension Name.
  • Immediate folder name - This option displays the CTD section number folder name of the external link. For example, See 5311-ba-stud-rep. If your file does not contain CTD section number in the external links, it displays an error and shows the Status as Stamp-Partially Complete.
Help Click the Help icon to open the online user documentation.
Exit Use the Close or Exit icon to quit the application.
Stamp Internal Links Check this option to apply/remove the link reference text for internal links.
Stamp External Links Check this option to apply/remove the link reference text for external links.
Replace Existing Check this option to replace existing link reference text.
Current Page Select this option to use Link Reference Stamper on the current page of the source document.
All Pages Select this option to use Link Reference Stamper on all pages in the source document.
Pages Select this option to use Link Reference Stamper on a desired range of pages in the source document. In the adjacent boxes, enter the first and last page numbers of the desired page range.
Log File Link Reference Stamper log File information is located in the Link Reference Stamper .log file. By default, a log file is created at C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Liquent\SmartDesk\Link Reference Stamper\Link Reference Stamper.log. You have the option to select a different location by clicking the ellipses button next to the Log file Location field. In the Select File window that opens, navigate to the folder location and designate a file name to save the log files.
