Rules that Govern PDS Detail Statuses

The following summarizes rules used by Ennov InSight for presenting the statuses of PDS details on the PDS page.

When an event is set to a status that maps to the internal event status of Approved or Not Approved:

  • If the PDS status is not already mapped to Approved, Not Approved, or Withdrawn, the PDS status is set to the status that maps to Approved/Not Approved and the PDS status date is set to the event status date.
  • The statuses for all PDS details pending through the event are automatically set to Approved/Not Approved.
  • The status dates for all PDS details pending through the event are automatically set to the event status date.
  • The event is closed.

When an Event is closed as Approved, meaning the Associations Closed As field is set APPROVED, and the PDS associated to this Event has a withdrawn Country Detail displayed as Country (Pending Withdrawal):

  • The Country Status field of this country is automatically set to Approved and this country is displayed as Country (Withdrawn) in the PDS Tree on the left.
  • As an additional rule, the parent Application Country > Withdrawn Date field is automatically updated to be equal to Event > Closed Date value. The same rule applies to the parent Application Country when the Country (Pending Withdrawal) PDS Detail is modified and the Country Status field is set to Approved. See If the Event Is Closed with the Status Approved.

No changes can be made to a PDS or its details through a closed event.

When viewing a PDS within the context of an event whose status is either Approved or Not-Approved:

  • If the PDS detail is approved, only that occurrence of the detail is shown.
  • If the PDS detail is not-approved, side-by-side comparison of the non-approved detail and the closest prior approved version of that detail is shown.
  • For PDS details not associated with the event, the closest prior approved detail is shown.

When viewing a PDS within the context of an event whose status is neither Approved nor Not-Approved:

  • If a PDS detail status is pending modify, side-by-side comparison with the closest prior approved version of that detail is shown.
  • For all details not associated with the event, all currently approved and currently pending details are shown, that is, not approved details are not shown. For a pending detail, side-by-side comparison with the closest prior approved version of that detail is shown. A hyperlink is provided to the event through which the pending detail is modifiable.

When viewing a PDS outside the context of an event:

  • All currently approved and currently pending details are shown. For a pending detail, side-by-side comparison with the closest prior approved version of that detail is shown. A hyperlink is provided to the event through which the pending detail is modifiable.
