Update Link Character Encoding

Use Update Link Character Encoding to modify the selected character set.

1. Open the source PDF in Acrobat.
2. In the Linking plug-in (PDF) menu, select Update Link Character Encoding.
3. Select the original encoding language used in the document.
   
4. To set the selected character set for the encoding update, click OK.
5. To end the procedure without changing character encoding, click Cancel.
6. Click Yes to confirm the update for the document using the selected character set.,.
   When the update is finished, Linking plug-in (PDF) displays this message: The links have been correctly updated.
7. Click OK to close the message.
8. Save .
   If the source PDF resides in a DMS, you must check-in the updated source PDF.
