Link Character Encoding

For external links in PDF renditions that were created with Acrobat prior to Acrobat version 8, non-Unicode encoding of the links may not be correct after they are extracted to Calyx RIM. The Update link character encoding option enables you to update external links for source PDF renditions that are assigned to Calyx RIM assemblies.

Encoding updates must be performed on source PDFs. You cannot update link character encoding in-process.

To successfully update link character encoding in documents, the language support for the selected character encoding must be installed on your computer.
