Add a Material

Using the Global Project Planning (GPP) wizard, you can add a material across multiple applications/events at the same time.

Note: The procedure below is a continuation of the Update Product Detail Sets project in the GPP wizard. The procedure presented in Creating an Update Product Detail Set Project must be initiated first.To add a material from the Select Action page of the GPP wizard:

  1. Select the Add Material option and click Next.The Select Manufacturing Process Step Material Parent page appears.
  2. In the Material Parent Type multi-select box, select one or more material parent types that you would like to add a material to and click Next.The Select Manufacturing Process Step page appears.
  3. Select one or multiple values in the Select Manufacturing Process Step table by selecting the appropriate check boxes and click Next.The Enter Manufacturing Process Step Material Values page appears.
  4. From the Material Name list, select the material that you want to add. Optionally, enter the following values:

    ◦ MCB ◦ WCB

    ◦ Biotechnology Origin

    ◦ Material Animal/Human Origin Certificate Filed?

    ◦ Material Animal/Human Origin

    ◦ Material Type

    ◦ Material Keywords

    ◦ Material Description

    ◦ Material Comments

    Click Next. The Perform Another PDS Action page appears.

  5. On the Perform Another PDS Action page, do one of the following:

    ◦ Click Yes to perform another update PDS action.

    ◦ Click No to proceed to the Summary page of the GPP wizard.

  6. Click Next.One of the following occurs:

    ◦ If you selected Yes in the previous step, you return to the Select Action page of the GPP wizard.

    ◦ If you selected No in the previous step, the Summary page appears. Proceed to the next step.

  7. On the Summary page, do one of the following:

◦ Select the project link on the Summary page to review the new project you created.

◦ Click Finish. You are returned to the view from which you invoked the GPP wizard.

To view the project after closing the GPP wizard, click Home > Projects.
