Withdraw a Substance
Using the Global Project Planning (GPP) wizard, you can withdraw an approved substance for a Product Detail Set (PDS).
Note: The procedure below is a continuation of the Update Product Detail Sets project in the GPP wizard. The procedure presented in Creating an Update Product Detail Set Project must be initiated first.
To withdraw a substance from the Select Action page of the GPP wizard:
- Select the Withdraw Substance option and click Next.The Select Substance Type Detail page appears.
- Select one or more Substance Type(s) that you would like to withdraw, and click Next.The Select Substance page appears.
- Click the check box next to the product family with a PDS > Substance detail that you want to withdraw, and click Next.The Perform Another PDS Action page appears.
- On the Perform Another PDS Action page, do one of the
following:
◦ Click Yes to perform another update PDS action.
◦ Click No to proceed to the Summary page of the GPP wizard.
- Click Next.One of the following occurs:
◦ If you selected Yes in the previous step, you return to the Select Action page of the GPP wizard.
◦ If you selected No in the previous step, the Summary page appears. Proceed to the next step.
- On the Summary page, do one of the following:
◦ Select the project link on the Summary page to review the new project you created.
◦ Click Finish. You are returned to the view from which you invoked the GPP wizard.
The Status of the selected Substance is set to Pending Withdrawal in the PDS tree and the Status Date of the Detail is set to Today's Date.
To view the project after closing the GPP wizard, click Home > Projects. Click the link for the project you just created to open the Project Attributes page. Navigate to the PDS to view the modified details.
