Replace a Flu Strain PDS Project
Using the Global Project Planning (GPP) wizard, you can replace an approved flu strain in a PDS.
Note: The procedure below is a continuation of the Update Product Detail Sets project in the GPP wizard. The procedure presented in Creating an Update Product Detail Set Project must be initiated first.To replace a flu strain from the Select Action page of the GPP wizard:
- Select Replace Flu Strain on the Select Action page.
- Click Next.The Select Flu Strain page appears.
- On the Select Flu Strain page, do the following:
- Select the approved flu strain that you want to replace.
- Select the new flu strain.
- Click Next.The Perform Another PDS Action page appears.
- Do one of the following:
◦ Click Yes to perform another update PDS action.
◦ Click No to proceed to the Summary page of the GPP wizard.
- Click Next.One of the following occurs:
◦ If you selected Yes in step 5, you return to the Select Action page of the GPP wizard.
◦ If you selected No in step 5, the Summary page appears. Go to step 7.
- On the Summary page, do one of the following:
◦ Select the project link on the Summary page to review the new project you created.
◦ Click Finish. You are returned to the view from which you invoked the GPP wizard.
Upon completion, the flu strain you chose to replace is assigned a Pending Withdrawal status in the PDS. The status for the new flu strain is Pending Add.
- To view the project after closing the GPP wizard, click Home > Projects.
- Click the link for the project you just created to open the Project Attributes page.
- Navigate to the PDS to view the modified details.
