Add a Species Indication PDS Project

You can add species indications to the PDS for veterinary product families via the Global Project Planning (GPP) wizard.

The following conditions apply to this function:

  • The list of available species indication options will include only indications that are not currently included in the selected PDSs with Pending or Approved status for the selected species.
  • Only PDSs that have an Approved species associated with the PDS will be available for adding species indications.
  • You cannot use this function to assign species indications to non-veterinary product families.

Note: The procedure below is a continuation of the Update Product Detail Sets project in the GPP wizard. The procedure presented in Creating an Update Product Detail Set Project must be initiated first.To add species indications and intended use from the Select Action page of the GPP wizard:

Select Add Species Indications on the Select Action page.

Click Next.The Select Species page appears.

  1. Select one or more species in the multi-select box.
  2. Click Next.The Select the PDS(s) page appears.
  3. Select one or more of the listed PDSs.
  4. Click Next.The Select Indication and Sub-Indications page appears.
  5. On the Select Indication and Sub-Indications page, do the following:
    1. Select an indication.
    2. Optionally, select one or more sub-indications if any are available for selection based on the indication selected.
  6. Click Next.The Perform Another PDS Action page appears.
  7. On the Perform Another PDS Action page, do one of the following:

    ◦ Click Yes to return to the Select Action page to perform another update PDS action.

    ◦ Click No and proceed to the Summary page of the GPP wizard. Go to step 10.

  8. On the Summary page, do one of the following:

    ◦ Select the project link on the Summary page to review the new project you created.

    ◦ Click Finish. You are returned to the view from which you invoked the GPP wizard.

    Upon completion, the selected species indications are added to the PDS and assigned a Pending Add status in the PDS tree and a Pending status on the Species Indication Attributes pages. If the selected species indications were not previously associated with the selected veterinary product families, then they will be associated after running the wizard.

  9. To view the project after closing the GPP wizard, click Home > Projects.
  10. Click the link for the project you just created to open the Project Attributes page.
  11. Navigate to the PDS to view the newly added detail.
