Add a Species PDS Project

You can use the Global Project Planning (GPP) wizard to add one or more species to the PDS for veterinary product families.

Note: The procedure below is a continuation of the Update Product Detail Sets project in the GPP wizard. The procedure presented in Creating an Update Product Detail Set Project must be initiated first.To add one or more species to a product from the Select Action page of the GPP wizard:

  1. Select Add Species.
  2. Click Next.The Select Species page appears.
  3. Select one or more species. If a species is currently included in any of the selected PDSs, it will not appear in the list of available species.
  4. Click Next.The Perform Another PDS Action page appears.
  5. On the Perform Another PDS Action page, do one of the following:

    ◦ Click Yes to return to the Select Action page to perform another update PDS action.

    ◦ Click No to proceed do the Summary page of the GPP wizard.

  6. Click Next.One of the following occurs:

    ◦ If you selected Yes in step 5, you return to the Select Action page of the GPP wizard.

    ◦ If you selected No in step 5, the Summary page opens. Go to step 7.

  7. On the Summary page, do one of the following:

    ◦ Select the project link on the Summary page to review the new project you created.

    ◦ Click Finish. You are returned to the view from which you invoked the wizard.

  8. To view the project after closing the GPP wizard, click Home > Projects.
  9. Click the link for the project you just created to open the Project Attributes page.The new species product details will appear in the PDS tree on the Product Details Attributes page.Warning: At this time, you are not prevented from adding species details to non-veterinary PDSs using the GPP wizard. If you inadvertently add species details to non-veterinary products, you will not see species details added to the PDS tree for the product. However, the species details will be maintained in the database and they will appear in any related queries that you perform.
