DMS Integration
Document management system (DMS) integration values appear in drop-down lists on the Document Attributes page and are designated when you assign a document to an assembly. Data Administration enables you to add and modify drop-down list values, and to set the status of a value to active or inactive.
When you select a value under DMS Integration, a page shows a table of all values that have been defined. You can sort these values by column. The default view is sorted in ascending, alphanumeric order.
Note: The proper data administration access privileges are required to view and modify DMS integration values.
For documents assigned to SharePoint in Ennov InSight , you cannot change the Label or Status attributes and can only bind to the file version. SharePoint supports minor and major file versions, but does not support labels and statuses.
For Veeva documents, binding to a label is supported only when the label is set to CURRENT. Veeva does not use labels. When the label is set to CURRENT, the latest version of the document is used.

- Click the rendition identifier name of the rendition identifier that you are creating.
- Under Rendition Identifier Values, click the Create icon.
- For Rendition Identifier Value, type the value.
Note: For Veeva, the value must match exactly an internal rendition name that Veeva generated from a rendition type that a Veeva administrator entered.
Note: For Documentum, the value must match the page_modifier attribute.
- Click the server type.
Note: For each rendition name, for each server type only one rendition identifier value can be active at a time.
- Save.
Modify a Bind to Label or Bind to Status Value

Additional PDF rendition formats can be defined in Ennov InSight configuration to trust them as PDFs. The additional renditions must comply to the PDF standard. | |
How Rendition Identifier Values Are Used
You can specify the rendition identifier value for a non-default rendition to be used for publishing jobs. You can set this value in Publishing Settings Library Templates (PLT) and Assembly Specific Publishing Settings Libraries (APL). On the Publishing Settings tab, the Default Rendition Identifier option lists the rendition identifier values configured in Data Administration. See Publishing Settings in Liquent InSight Publisher.
Rendition Identifiers are also used for Registration Attachment entities. When the value is set on the Registration Attachment Attributes page, it enables the use of the existed rendition file in DMS, instead of the source file, during the submission creation via the XEVMPD Submission wizard.
Note: It is recommended that you do not use the same rendition identifier for two different document formats for Documentum rendition.
Create Publishing Settings
In the selected Publishing Settings Library, you can create or modify the Publishing Settings to adjust printer output settings and XML definitions.
This procedure applies to both the Publishing Settings Library Template (PLT) and Assembly Specific Publishing Settings Library (APL).
- On the Publishing Settings Library window, select Publishing Settings .

Veeva rendition to be used for publishing jobs. This value can be set in Publishing Settings Library Templates (PLT) and
Assembly Specific Publishing Settings Libraries (APL). On the Publishing Settings tab, the option Default Rendition Identifier lists the values configured using the DMS Integration Rendition Identifier Values in Data Administration. See Maintaining a DMS Integration Value.

Create Veeva Rendition Types and Obtain Veeva Rendition Names
In Veeva, an administrator creates rendition types for document renditions. If the rendition type is for a custom, nonstandard rendition, the administrator can add the rendition type to a document. The administrator can also add a standard rendition type to a document type, if the standard rendition type is not by default added to all standard document types.
To create a rendition type and obtain the rendition name that will use:
- In the Veeva vault, if the rightmost item on the bar is Admin, click Admin.
- On the bar, click Configuration.
- On menu on the left, under DOCUMENT SETUP, click Rendition Types.
- In the top-right area of the Rendition Types page, click Create.
- On the Create Rendition Type page, for Rendition Type
type parexel.
Note: Rendering requires the rendition type parexel in the Veeva Vault repository that Rendering connects to.
Rendering uses this rendition type to reference the standard rendition.
- Click Save.
- To obtain the rendition name that Veeva generates from the rendition type, call Veeva Support.
Note: Veeva generates a unique rendition name from each rendition type. The rendition identifier values that you create in Rendering Administration must match the rendition names that Veeva generates.
Note the following:
— Editing a rendition type does not change the generated rendition name.
— Deleting a rendition type does not delete the generated rendition name.
— Recreating a deleted rendition type creates a new rendition name, not the name generated from the rendition type before the rendition type was deleted. If you recreate a deleted rendition type, call Veeva Support to get the new rendition name.
Add the Rendition Type to All Documents
To enable Ennov InSight Rendering users to access Veeva Vault documents that were in their Vault before your Veeva administrator created the Ennov InSight . Service user, assign the Ennov InSight rendition type to every document type in the vault.
